On 27 March, the Second Round of Political Consultations between the Dominican Republic and the Republic of South Africa marked a significant milestone in the growing relationship between the two nations. Held in a constructive and forward-looking atmosphere, the consultations provided a strategic platform to assess progress and unlock new areas of cooperation.
The meeting was co-chaired by Ambassador Maud Dlomo, Deputy Director-General for the Americas and Europe at the Department of International Relations and Cooperation, and José Luis Domínguez, Director for Africa and the Middle East at the Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Their leadership underscored the importance both governments place on structured dialogue and sustained diplomatic engagement.
The consultations brought together senior officials and sectoral representatives from both countries, reflecting a whole-of-government approach to advancing bilateral ties.
