Focus on Political Affairs, Peace and Security
Ayad’s new responsibilities will include working on political affairs, with a particular focus on peace and security. She also highlighted multilateral diplomacy as a key area of focus, noting the potential for Norway and South Africa to contribute to these areas and strengthen meaningful cooperation.
Her assignment comes at a time when diplomatic missions continue to play an important role in facilitating dialogue, partnerships and cooperation between countries.
Strengthening Norway–South Africa Cooperation
Norway and South Africa maintain diplomatic relations across a range of areas, including political dialogue, development cooperation, trade and multilateral engagement.
