In a bid to fortify economic bonds between two BRICS powerhouses, the High Commission of India in Pretoria hosted the second edition of the India-South Africa Business Conclave.
Over 200 entrepreneurs from both nations converged to explore new avenues for collaboration, amid growing calls for enhanced trade and investment.
Delivering the keynote address, Deputy Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition, H.E. Mr. Zuko Godlimpi, emphasized the potential for mutual growth in sectors like technology, manufacturing, and renewable energy. “Our shared history and values position us uniquely to drive innovation and prosperity,” Godlimpi stated, highlighting successful case studies from ongoing partnerships.
The event featured dynamic panel discussions on market access, regulatory frameworks, and sustainable development. Participants from Indian firms and South African enterprises shared insights, fostering B2B connections. Organized with support from entities like the Confederation of Indian Industry and South Africa’s Department of Trade, Industry and Competition, the conclave underscores the deepening Indo-African alliance. As bilateral trade surpasses $10 billion annually, such forums are pivotal for future economic synergy.
