Ambassador Seokolo Hosts SADC Officials in Pretoria for Cocktail Reception Ahead of Key Meetings

Ambassador Tebogo Seokolo, Deputy Director-General for Africa at the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) and Chairperson of the SADC Standing Committee of Senior Officials, warmly welcomed delegates to the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Officials Cocktail Reception on 7 March.

The elegant event, held at DIRCO headquarters, provided a relaxed platform for senior officials from member states to network ahead of the Standing Committee sessions (7-8 March) and the upcoming Council of Ministers meeting (12-13 March). Discussions are expected to focus on advancing industrialisation, agricultural transformation, and energy transition for a resilient region.

Adding cultural vibrancy, acclaimed South African singer-songwriter Langa Mavuso delivered a captivating performance, delighting attendees with his soulful renditions.

Sponsored by Airlink, the reception underscored private sector support for regional integration efforts. As South Africa leads interim SADC chairship duties, the evening highlighted unity and collaboration among Southern African nations.
