The African Union (AU) and South Africa have reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing Agenda 2063, strengthening continental cooperation, and promoting Africa’s collective priorities on the global stage following a high-level meeting between H.E. Ambassador Selma Malika Haddadi, Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission, and Mr. Xolisa Mabhongo, Deputy Director-General for Global Governance and Continental Agenda at South Africa’s Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO).
The meeting underscored the strategic partnership between the African Union Commission and South Africa as both institutions continue working closely to address continental development priorities, strengthen multilateral cooperation, and amplify Africa’s voice in international decision-making processes.
