South Africa’s newly appointed Ambassador-designate to the Arab Republic of Egypt, His Excellency Ambassador Jomo Nyambi, has officially commenced his diplomatic engagements in Cairo following an introductory courtesy meeting with His Excellency Ambassador Karim Sherif, Assistant Minister for African Affairs at Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates.
The meeting took place at the Ministry’s headquarters in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital, marking an important step in strengthening the longstanding diplomatic partnership between South Africa and Egypt.
Warm Welcome for South Africa’s New Ambassador
During the meeting, Ambassador Karim Sherif warmly welcomed Ambassador-designate Jomo Nyambi to Cairo and extended his best wishes for a successful and productive diplomatic mission in Egypt.
The courtesy call provided an opportunity for both diplomats to exchange views on key areas of mutual interest while reaffirming the strong historical relationship shared by South Africa and Egypt.
