The Embassy of the Philippines in South Africa has taken another significant step in advancing education diplomacy, with Ambassador Myla Grace Macahilig hosting a delegation from Zambia’s Higher Education Loans and Scholarships Board (HELSB) and the High Commission of Zambia in Pretoria to discuss potential areas of collaboration in the higher education sector.

Leading the HELSB delegation was Chief Executive Officer Dr. John Machayi, accompanied by Deputy Director Derrick Chisanga and Legal Counsel Tuttie Kapalasa.
Representing the Zambian High Commission in Pretoria were First Secretary (Education) Dr. Francis Chishala and Second Secretary (Protocol) Christabel Gutinyu.
Ambassador Myla was joined by First Secretary and Consul Jim Minglana, as well as Attaché Joshua Leoj Ortiz, underscoring the Philippine Embassy’s commitment to fostering international cooperation in education and human capital development.
