Boosting Mali-South Africa Economic Links: CCIM Visit Highlights Mining Indaba Participation
The Vice President of the Mali Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIM) paid a courtesy visit to Her Excellency Mrs Patience Masisi, South Africa’s Ambassador to Mali, on 27 January 2026.
The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral economic cooperation, particularly the CCIM’s anticipated participation in the prestigious Investing in African Mining Indaba, scheduled for 9-12 February 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa. Discussions explored opportunities for Malian businesses to showcase their mining sector potential and forge partnerships at the continent’s premier mining investment event.
The two sides also deliberated on initiatives to deepen ties between the CCIM and Business Unity South Africa (BUSA), South Africa’s apex business organisation. These efforts aim to promote trade, investment, and collaboration across sectors, building on shared interests in sustainable development and regional integration.
Ambassador Masisi welcomed the engagement, reaffirming South Africa’s commitment to supporting stronger economic relations with Mali.
