Seated beneath the fluttering flags of both nations in a Pretoria meeting room, the two diplomats discussed practical ways to strengthen collaboration in youth empowerment, skills development, employment creation and diaspora engagement.
High Commissioner Farooq stressed the shared challenges facing young people in both countries and the untapped potential for joint programmes that could deliver real economic benefits. Deputy Minister Nemadzinga-Tshabalala expressed strong support for deeper partnerships, noting South Africa’s commitment to leveraging international ties for job creation and skills transfer.
The cordial meeting, also attended by senior officials, underscores growing people-to-people and economic links between the two nations within the SADC framework. Both sides agreed to maintain momentum through follow-up technical engagements.
