India Marks ITEC Day in Pretoria: Boosting Skills and Bilateral Bonds
In a vibrant display of diplomatic camaraderie, the High Commission of India in Pretoria hosted ITEC Day celebrations at India House on February 18. High Commissioner Prabhat Kumar took centre stage, emphasising the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) program’s pivotal role in fostering skill development and capacity building across nations.
Addressing a distinguished audience, including senior officials from South Africa’s Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) and the South African National Defence Force (SANDF), alongside ITEC alumni, Kumar underscored how the initiative has empowered professionals through specialized training in India. Alumni shared heartfelt anecdotes of their transformative experiences, from cultural immersion to professional growth, highlighting ITEC’s impact on personal and national development.
