Presidents Ramaphosa and Mohamed bin Zayed Discuss Deepening Cooperation Amid Sustainability Summit
President Cyril Ramaphosa held a high-level bilateral meeting with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, on the margins of the 2026 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
The discussions, taking place ahead of the ADSW opening ceremony and Zayed Sustainability Prize awards, focused on strengthening and deepening ties between South Africa and the UAE. Key emphasis was placed on expanding cooperation in trade and investment, aligning with broader goals of sustainable development and economic partnership.
Ramaphosa’s visit, at the invitation of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, underscores growing relations amid global sustainability efforts. The ADSW 2026, themed “Nexus of Next: All Systems Go,” gathers leaders to advance innovative solutions for climate and energy challenges.
