The South African High Commission in Kuala Lumpur engaged Women e-Commerce Malaysia on the proposed Africa-Asia Entrepreneurs Summit 2026, as part of efforts to strengthen economic and entrepreneurial cooperation between Africa and Asia.

The engagement was held with Ms Rakiba Reaz Tina, Managing Director of Women e-Commerce Malaysia, and focused on the proposed summit and its potential to create new platforms for business collaboration between entrepreneurs across the two regions.

Strengthening Africa-Asia Business Cooperation

Discussions explored opportunities to use the proposed Africa-Asia Entrepreneurs Summit 2026 as a platform for advancing trade, investment and entrepreneurship, while facilitating stronger connections between African and Asian business communities.

The initiative seeks to encourage greater engagement between entrepreneurs, businesses and other stakeholders, with a particular focus on identifying opportunities for partnerships and expanding access to international markets.

Advancing Women’s Economic Empowerment

The engagement also highlighted the important role of women entrepreneurs and women-led businesses in driving inclusive economic growth.

Greater collaboration between African and Asian women entrepreneurs can contribute to the development of new commercial partnerships, knowledge exchange and market opportunities, while supporting women’s participation in regional and international trade.
