The French South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FSACCI) successfully held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday, 21 May 2026, bringing together members from across South Africa to reflect on the Chamber’s achievements, governance, and strategic direction.
The AGM was conducted simultaneously in Johannesburg and Cape Town, highlighting FSACCI’s commitment to fostering engagement and collaboration among its growing network of members nationwide.
Members Gather Across Two Cities
The Johannesburg session was hosted at Fasken’s offices in Inanda Greens Business Park, while members in Cape Town convened at the offices of The INVNT GROUP, the company behind the launch of the renowned Ladurée South Africa franchise. Following the meeting, attendees enjoyed a networking dinner at the Ladurée South Africa restaurant, providing an opportunity to strengthen professional relationships and celebrate the Chamber’s accomplishments.
A quorum was successfully reached ahead of the commencement of the meeting, with 58 members participating either in person or through proxy representation, ensuring the AGM could proceed in accordance with the Chamber’s governance requirements.
Reflecting on a Successful Financial Year
Opening the proceedings, FSACCI General Manager Erwanne Meilhoc welcomed members in good standing and thanked them for their continued support and participation in the Chamber’s activities.
FSACCI Chairperson Dr Yves Guenon then presented the 2025 Annual Report, highlighting the Chamber’s key activities, achievements, and milestones over the past financial year. The presentation reflected on FSACCI’s efforts to strengthen business connections between France and South Africa, support member companies, facilitate networking opportunities, and promote bilateral trade and investment.
The report underscored the Chamber’s ongoing role as a trusted platform for French and South African businesses seeking to expand partnerships, exchange expertise, and contribute to economic growth.
Commitment to Strong Governance
A key item on the AGM agenda was the election of board members. Members voted to re-elect Thulisile Phiri and François de Thomasson to the FSACCI Board, reaffirming confidence in their leadership and commitment to the Chamber’s mission.
