Diplomatic Relations Set for a New Chapter of Economic and Strategic Cooperation
The Acting Deputy Director-General: State Protocol, Clayson Monyela, officially received copies of the Letters of Credence from Simon Deng Akook, Ambassador-Designate of South Sudan to South Africa, on 15 May 2026.
Following established diplomatic protocol, the presentation of the copies formally authorises Ambassador Deng Akook to immediately commence his official duties and lead the South Sudanese diplomatic mission in South Africa.
