Amir Muqam Holds Key Talks on Trade, Investment and Parliamentary Links with South Africa

Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Engineer Amir Muqam engaged in productive discussions with South African Members of Parliament from across major political parties to advance Pakistan-South Africa bilateral relations.
The meeting focused on expanding trade and investment opportunities, enhancing parliamentary cooperation, and deepening people-to-people connections. Participants included Deputy Minister Ganief Hendricks, MPs Imraan Subrathie, Haseena Ismail, Nazier Paulsen, Imraan Moosa, MPL Khalid Sayed, and MPL Noko Phineas Masipa.
Pakistan’s High Commissioner to South Africa, Malik Muhammad Farooq, also attended the session, underscoring the diplomatic commitment to stronger ties.
The talks come amid broader engagement during Minister Muqam’s visit, including community events highlighting Pakistan’s support for Kashmir and calls for increased economic collaboration. Both sides expressed optimism about future partnerships in trade, mutual support on international issues, and legislative exchanges to benefit their peoples.
